The first three affect fruit, leaves, and twigs; the fourth, a disease of the “foot” of the tree, near ground level, directly affects the trunk of the tree. Over time, foot rot can weaken the entire tree.

Because PFD can cause 20% to 80% fruit drop, depending on its prevalence in a given season, it’s not to be taken lightly.
